When Buying Lamb

Braai Information

When you do your shopping, select the meat last to ensure it says cold for as long as possible. Put the meat in the fridge as soon as you get home and braai it by the sell-by date or within 3-4 days. Never put braaied or cooked meat back into the same container that the raw meat was in, this can cause cross-contamination, which is the transfer of harmful bacteria from one food to another.
As with all meat, it is important that you trust your butcher to deliver high quality meat consistently – if he does stick with him!
